Overview
Choosing the right motor insurance can be confusing. Here’s a breakdown of the three main covers found in the motor insurance policies that Laferla offers:
Third Party Only (TPO)
- Covers damage to other vehicles or property if you're at fault.
- Covers injuries to third parties (drivers, passengers, pedestrians).
- Does not cover damage to your own car.
-
Best for: Budget-conscious drivers who want the legal minimum cover.
Third Party, Fire & Theft (TPFT)
- Everything included in Third Party Only cover.
- Covers your vehicle if it is damaged by theft or attempted theft, or damaged by fire.
- Does not cover accidental damage to your car.
-
Best for: Drivers who want extra protection without the full cost of comprehensive insurance.
Comprehensive Insurance
- Covers everything in TPFT, plus:
- Accidental damage to your own vehicle, even if the accident was your fault.
- May include additional benefits like personal accident cover.
-
Best for: Those who want full protection and peace of mind.
Which Policy Should I Choose?
- If you own a valuable car, Comprehensive Cover is the safest option.
- If you’re driving an older or low-value car, TPFT might be a good middle-ground.
- If you only need the bare minimum legal cover, TPO is the most affordable.
