Yes! Laferla Home Insurance allows you to insure valuable collections, including wine, whiskey, watches and other valuables, under Contents Cover (inside the home) or under the Personal Belongings Cover (outside of the home)
What’s Covered?
- Wine & Whiskey Collections – Protection against theft, fire, or accidental damage.
- Luxury Watches – Covers loss, theft, and accidental damage (inside and outside your home, depending on the cover option chosen).
- Luxury Clothing, Bags, and Accessories - Also eligible for cover under Personal Belongings Insurance cover.

Worldwide Cover – Optional protection for valuables taken abroad.
What’s Not Covered?
- Spoilage or natural ageing of perishable items such as wines or whiskey.
- Regular wear and tear or mechanical breakdowns on watches and similar items.
- Damage due to mould, dampness and rotting of items.
- Items not individually listed if they exceed policy limits.
How to Insure Your Collection?
- Gather valuations or purchase receipts for all high-value items you want to insure.
- Send your list of specific items to Laferla's Personal Lines Insurance team at personal@laferla.com.mt. Alternatively, book an appointment with our team to discuss your needs in person.
- Choose between home-only, EU or worldwide cover.
